HP offers a wide variety of printer devices. These devices are very robust and convenient. You can easily configure the printer and use them. This feature is very handy when you are connecting the printer to the Wi-Fi. You can connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network wirelessly and then share it among other devices on the same network. Steps for connecting HP printer to the Wi-Fi The printer connection technique depends on the printer model and router. But when you have WPS on the router then you can easily connect the printer to the router like any other device.
Install the HP printer driver on your PC Once you add the printer to the Wi-Fi, you can easily find it from all the connected devices. Before sending a print job, ensure that your PC is connected to the same network. Your PC also requires an HP printer driver. This is like a communication channel between your printer and PC. Your printer will only receive the command when the PC has the correct driver. Check the HP printer model and then visit the HP website. Search for the printer driver and download the setup on your device. If you have the HP printer CD, you can copy the driver from it. Now install the driver on your PC and restart it. If you haven’t configured the printer to Wi-Fi in those two hours then you need to set the printer to Wi-Fi mode manually.
Take network configuration printout If you are connecting the HP printer to an open network then you must take a network configuration printout. When you enable the Wi-Fi button of the printer, it automatically connects to the strongest open network. Sometimes the printer may connect to the wrong network and then the person faces “Printer Not Available” errors. To find the correct network, you should take a network configuration printout.
Your HP printer will start printing the Network configuration page. This page will show network status, active connection type, SSID, and various other information. Check the SSID of the network. If the SSID is correct and the printer status is active then your HP printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Why is the HP printer not connecting to the network? Your HP printer can show connecting issues due to various reasons. When the connection error appears, restart the router. Go to the router and hit the restart button. Your router may take a while to restart. Now restart the Wi-Fi button on your printer and try to connect to the network. Sometimes you can also get this error when you have secured the network with a firewall. Your firewall is restricting the printer connection. Disable the firewall and then connect the HP printer to the Wi-Fi. You can also ask the HP printer technical team for help.
